Choose your height and bottom shape
The KMRNL V2 Bag Rider for Sig Cross Series rifles now comes in four combinations. Choose Tall (original V2) or Short (V2.2), then choose a Flat or V-hull bottom. Every combination is $34.99 and available in Black only.
Tall + Flat is the original V2.0 and the default selection. The product image changes to show the combination you select.
| Height choice | Bottom | Height (mm) | Height (inches) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tall — V2 | Flat | 30 mm | 1.18 in |
| Tall — V2 | V-hull | 40 mm | 1.57 in |
| Short — V2.2 | Flat | 15 mm | 0.59 in |
| Short — V2.2 | V-hull | 20 mm | 0.79 in |
Height is measured from the stock mounting surface to the bottom. Inch conversions are rounded to two decimal places. For the same bottom shape, V2.2 is half the height of V2.
Flat or V-hull?
Flat has a flat contact surface. The new V2.2 Flat has sides that taper inward by 5° toward the base, narrowing the footprint while keeping the upper section wider. This is designed to help it settle into the bag fill.
V-hull has a V-shaped bottom. Choose the shape that suits your rear bag and your personal preference.
Tall or Short?
Tall puts more distance between the stock mounting point and the bag-contact surface. Short keeps that surface closer to the stock. The choice depends on your setup and preferred fit; neither height is the right choice for everyone.
Made from KMRNL’s proprietary reinforced polymer. All four selections are Black.

Field-Tested Feedback: V2 Bag Rider on the Range
“That V2 is basically married to my rifle now and it will never come off—it just belongs on it.”
– Christian Kent, Precision Shooter
Christian Kent recently put both our V1 and V2 Bag Riders through their paces during a full day at the range, testing them on multiple calibers including a .308 and a magnum 300 PRC. His standout takeaway? The V2 Bag Rider delivered exceptional recoil control and stability, especially during long-range sessions out to 1000 yards. With a broad, flat surface area that stays planted in the bag, Christian was stacking shots and easily spotting impacts thanks to the added control. “It just ate the recoil up and kept me on target,” he shared.
While the V2’s forward edge may slightly interfere with a low-ready carry position, Christian noted this is a worthwhile trade-off for the maxed-out stability in prone and benched positions. As a bonus, fellow shooters at the range thought the KMRNL bag rider was a factory part—an instant testament to its seamless fit and functional design.
Christian praised the build quality as “super solid” and even tougher than the factory component. He also highlighted a few useful install tips for future buyers, like torque spec suggestions and a heads-up on the precision fit around screw holes. Overall, both versions held up flawlessly under range pressure, with the V1 proving versatile across various rifles, and the V2 earning a permanent place on his magnum setup.
