KMRNL V4.1 Bag Rider for Sig Sauer Cross Rifles
The KMRNL V4.1 Bag Rider was developed to give Sig Sauer Cross rifles a purpose-built rear support surface that combines controlled elevation adjustment with centered, planted bag contact. It features a 9° upward control ramp so you can make smooth elevation changes simply by sliding the rifle forward or backward on the rear bag, plus a full V-hull bottom with 45° sides that helps displace bag media and center the rifle for a more stable and repeatable position.
Built from ultralight carbon fiber and weighing less than 2.0 oz, the V4.1 adds serious control without affecting your rifle’s balance or handling. Instead of fighting the bag, over-squeezing, or struggling with inconsistent rear support, the V4.1 gives the Sig Cross the tracking surface and control geometry it should have had from the start.
The 9° ramp lets you raise or lower the rifle smoothly by sliding forward or backward on the bag — no more fighting the rear support.
Full V-hull bottom with 45° sides helps part bag media and index the rifle, reducing side-to-side wander for a more repeatable position.
Precision additive manufactured carbon fiber construction weighs less than 2.0 oz — minimal added weight with maximum strength.
Refined with direct feedback from ex military snipers and PRS shooters for real-world reliability under demanding conditions.
Why It Exists
The factory rear section of the Sig Sauer Cross is lightweight and compact, but it was never designed as a dedicated rear-bag interface. The narrow, uneven contact area makes fine elevation control and consistent rear support difficult in prone, positional, or field shooting.
Standard flat bag riders offer smooth tracking but often ride on top of soft media and provide no easy way to adjust elevation without lifting or squeezing the bag. Pure angled/ramped riders help with elevation but can sacrifice stability and centered contact — and many add unnecessary weight.
The KMRNL V4.1 solves both problems at once. The 9° control ramp gives you fast, predictable elevation changes by simply sliding the rifle on the bag, while the full V-hull bottom actively displaces media and centers the rifle for a more planted, indexed, and repeatable rear support position. All of this in an ultralight carbon fiber package under 2.0 oz.
Design Details
V4.1 Bag Rider Geometry
- 9° upward control ramp for smooth elevation adjustment by sliding on the bag
- Full V-hull bottom with 45° sides running front to back for media displacement and centering
- Wider rear section — 1.57″ (40 mm) for maximum bag contact and lateral stability
- Narrower front transition — 0.91″ (23 mm) for smooth, non-bulky movement
- Longer ramp section — 3.07″ (78 mm) for usable, controlled elevation range
- Flat base section — 2.28″ (58 mm) for repeatable resting and settled shooting position
- Ultralight carbon fiber construction — weighs less than 2.0 oz
The V4.1 is not just another flat rider and not just another angled ramp. It is a hybrid design that gives you the best of both: fast elevation control when you need it, and a more centered, planted, and repeatable rear support when you’re settled behind the rifle — all in an ultralight carbon fiber package that won’t weigh down your rifle.
Fitment
- Platform: Sig Sauer Cross rifles
- Product type: Ramped V-hull rear bag rider / rear support surface
- Use: Rear bags, shooting rests, packs, and field supports — especially useful for prone, positional, and dynamic shooting where elevation adjustments are needed
Use Case
The KMRNL V4.1 Bag Rider is ideal for shooters who want both fast elevation control and stable, repeatable rear-bag contact on the Sig Sauer Cross — without adding noticeable weight. It excels in prone positional shooting, field hunting setups, PRS-style stages, and any scenario where you need to make quick elevation adjustments without losing rear support consistency or rifle balance.
Stop fighting the rear bag. The V4.1 gives the Sig Cross the tracking surface and control it should have had from the start — in a carbon fiber package under 2.0 oz.
