KMRNL V2.1 Bag Rider for Sig Sauer Cross Rifles
The KMRNL V2.1 Bag Rider was developed to improve rear-bag control, rifle stability, and repeatable tracking on the Sig Sauer Cross platform.
This version uses a full-length V-bottom geometry that runs from front to back, with 45-degree side surfaces designed to help the rider settle into the rear bag instead of simply sitting on top of the media.
The V2.1 is not a ramped or inclined bag rider. It is a continuous V-bottom support surface built to help part bag media, center the rifle, and create a more planted rear support position during prone, bench, field, and supported precision shooting.
45-degree V geometry runs front to back to help the rider index into rear-bag media.
Designed to help reduce side-to-side wander and create a more repeatable support position.
Developed with feedback and testing from military sniper and SWAT users.
Why It Exists
The factory rear section of the Sig Sauer Cross is compact and lightweight, but it was not designed as a dedicated rear-bag interface.
When shooting from bags, packs, or field supports, the rear of the rifle can shift, roll, or settle inconsistently depending on bag fill, pressure, and shooting position.
The KMRNL V2.1 Bag Rider was created to give the Sig Cross a more defined rear support surface.
Instead of using a plain flat bottom, the V2.1 uses a full V-shaped bottom that helps move bag media apart and guide the rifle into a centered position.
The result is a more planted feel, improved rear-bag control, and a more repeatable shooting position.
This design builds from the earlier KMRNL V2 Bag Rider geometry and refines it with a seamless full-length V-bottom profile for better bag engagement and improved shooter control.
Key Benefits
- Full V-bottom control: Uses 45-degree side geometry from front to back to create a defined rear-bag interface.
- Improved media displacement: Helps part and move rear-bag fill instead of simply compressing the bag from the top.
- More centered support: The V shape helps the rifle settle into a consistent position on compatible rear bags.
- Reduced lateral movement: Designed to help limit side-to-side wander during recoil and position adjustment.
- Repeatable rear-bag position: Helps the shooter rebuild the same support position from shot to shot.
- No incline or ramp: Built for centered bag control, not forward/back elevation ramping.
- Purpose-built fit: Designed around the Sig Sauer Cross platform, not as a generic universal add-on.
- Tested by professional users: Field-tested and evaluated with PRS, NRL, and Hunters.
Design Details
V2.1 Bag Rider Geometry
- Full-length V-bottom profile
- 45-degree side surfaces on both sides
- Continuous V geometry from front to back
- No incline, ramp, or angled elevation track
- Designed to help part rear-bag media and index into the support surface
Flat bag riders can work well for smooth tracking, but they may ride on top of soft bag media depending on fill and pressure.
The KMRNL V2.1 takes a different approach by using a full V-bottom to help the rider settle into the bag.
This gives the shooter a more defined rear support point and helps the rifle feel more centered behind the shot.
The V2.1 is especially useful with rear bags that allow the V-bottom to settle between the support surfaces.
It can also help when using softer bags or field supports where bag fill movement can affect consistency.
V-Bottom vs. Flat-Bottom Bag Riders
Flat-Bottom Bag Rider
- Provides a broad, smooth contact surface
- Works well for general rear-bag tracking
- Can ride on top of soft bag media depending on fill and pressure
- May allow more lateral movement if the bag interface is loose
KMRNL V2.1 Full V-Bottom
- Uses a defined V profile to help center the rifle on the rear support
- Helps move bag media apart instead of only compressing it downward
- Provides a more indexed feel on compatible rear bags
- Supports repeatable rear-bag placement and controlled rifle tracking
The V2.1 was designed for shooters who want a more locked-in rear support feel than a standard flat-bottom rider.
It is not intended to replace every flat bag rider use case, but it gives the Sig Cross a more defined rear-bag interface for supported precision shooting.
Fitment

- Use: Rear bags, shooting rests, packs, and field supports
- Best suited for: Shooters who want a more centered and repeatable rear-bag interface
Please verify compatibility before ordering.
Use Case
The KMRNL V2.1 Bag Rider is intended for shooters who use rear bags, packs, or field supports and want a more centered rear support position.
It is especially useful for prone shooting, precision field shooting, hunting rifle setups, range work, and supported positions where rear-bag consistency matters.
The goal is simple: center the rifle, control the rear support, and build a more repeatable position behind the shot.
