KMRNL MiniPerch
The KMRNL MiniPerch is a compact, portable multi-level roosting bar designed for baby chicks and quail.
It provides three levels of natural wood perches supported by a rigid black polymer frame, giving young birds a stable place to rest, perch, and develop natural roosting behavior early.
Measuring 7¼” wide × 7½” deep × 4″ tall, the open A-frame design is lightweight and easy to move between brooders or pens once assembled. Simple press-fit assembly is required.
Three Level Perches
Three natural wood dowels at different heights give chicks and quail progressive roosting options as they grow.
Simple Assembly
Press the wood dowels into the frame ends. No tools required. Optional glue can be added for a permanent hold if desired.
Natural Wood Grip
Smooth wooden perches provide a comfortable, natural surface for small feet while the polymer frame stays clean and durable.
Why It Exists
Baby chicks and quail benefit from early access to elevated perches. Natural roosting behavior starts young, and providing proper places to rest can reduce crowding on the floor and help birds develop stronger legs and balance.
Many brooders and small pens lack dedicated roosting options. Makeshift solutions are often unstable, difficult to clean, or too large for young birds.
The KMRNL MiniPerch was designed as a simple, purpose-built solution: small enough for chicks and quail, stable enough for daily use, and portable enough to move as birds are relocated.

Design Details
Multi-Level Wood Perches
Three horizontal wooden dowels are spaced at different heights to give birds progressive options as they grow and gain confidence.
The natural wood surface provides good traction for small feet while remaining comfortable for extended perching.
Open A-Frame Structure
The black polymer ends form a rigid open A-frame that keeps the unit stable on flat surfaces while remaining light enough to move with one hand.
The open design allows easy visual monitoring of birds and simple access for cleaning underneath.
Simple Press-Fit Assembly
The MiniPerch ships as separate components: two black polymer end frames and three natural wood dowels.
Insert each wood dowel into the corresponding sockets on the end frames. The fit is designed to hold securely without tools. Optional wood glue or similar adhesive can be applied to the ends of the dowels if a permanent assembly is preferred.
Molded KMRNL Branding
The KMRNL logo is molded directly into the side of the frame for a clean, permanent identification mark.

Use Compatibility
The MiniPerch is designed for use with baby chicks and quail in brooders, small pens, or temporary enclosures.
It is sized for young birds. Adult chickens or larger poultry may require a larger roosting solution.
Place the assembled unit on a level surface. Confirm stability before introducing birds.
Assembly
- Lay out the two black polymer end frames and three natural wood dowels.
- Identify the matching sockets on each end frame for the three perch heights.
- Insert one end of each wood dowel firmly into the corresponding socket on the first end frame.
- Align the second end frame and press the free ends of the dowels into the matching sockets until fully seated.
- (Optional) Apply a small amount of wood glue or similar adhesive to the ends of the dowels before insertion if a permanent assembly is preferred.
- Check that all three dowels are fully seated and the unit sits level and stable.
- Place the assembled MiniPerch on a clean, level surface inside the brooder or pen.
No tools are required. The press-fit design is intended to hold securely under normal use. Glue is optional and not required.
Care and Cleaning
Remove the MiniPerch from the enclosure before cleaning.
Wipe the polymer frame with a damp cloth and mild soap. The wooden perches can be wiped clean or lightly sanded if needed.
Allow all components to dry completely before returning the unit to use.
Do not soak the wooden perches for extended periods or expose the unit to harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners.
Important Use Information
The MiniPerch is a passive roosting aid. It does not provide heat, feed, water, or environmental control.
Continue following standard brooding practices for temperature, bedding, feed, water, and ventilation.
Monitor young birds, especially during the first days of use, to ensure they can safely access and leave the perches.
Remove the unit if birds become trapped or if the enclosure layout changes in a way that reduces safety.
